Job Summary
The Team Leader for Special Investigation and Follow-up Audit is responsible for supervising the execution of special investigations and maintaining a rigorous follow-up system to ensure all corporate, branch, and IT audit findings are resolved through verified corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
Take up the roles of the Division Manager in his/her absence.
Actively participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division.
Mentor and enable staffs below his /grades towards achieving their effective performance.
Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public.
Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices.
Provide services as per the service level agreement.
Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set.
Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank.
Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on the plan performance.
Oversee the day-to-day activities of inspectors during fraud or misconduct investigations.
Maintain a centralized database of all outstanding audit findings across the Bank.
Conduct on-site or desk-based "verification audits" to confirm that reported rectifications are actually implemented.
Ensure that all physical and digital evidence related to investigations is handled according to legal chain-of-custody protocols.
Lead or supervise investigative interviews with staff or external parties involved in irregularities.
Prepare monthly "Rectification Status Reports" for the Division Manager, highlighting overdue or ignored findings.
Review and finalize investigation reports to ensure they are factual, objective, and legally sound.
Prioritize investigation cases based on potential financial loss or reputational risk.
Assist the Manager in providing documentation to law enforcement or legal teams for court cases.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Business Management, Management, or any other related field.
Experience
6 years of relevant banking experience, of which 2 years must be in a Senior Officer position.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong investigation, analytical, and leadership skills.
In-depth understanding of banking internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks.
