Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer installs, maintains, commissions, and repairs complex medical imaging equipment—including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and Endoscopy systems—across healthcare facilities in Addis Ababa and nationwide. The role provides critical on-site and remote technical support, ensures equipment safety and optimal performance, and conducts user training for medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and configure medical imaging systems (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, Endoscopy).
Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on installed hospital equipment.
Diagnose technical faults quickly and provide effective on-site or remote solutions.
Conduct user training for doctors, technicians, and healthcare professionals on proper equipment operation.
Coordinate with international suppliers and manufacturers for advanced technical escalation and spare parts procurement.
Maintain service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory accurately.
Ensure all service activities, calibrations, and interventions are thoroughly documented and reported.
Support sales and application teams with product demonstrations and technical assessments as needed.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in

, or a related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of
2+ years
of professional experience in servicing and maintaining medical imaging equipment.
Required Skills & Competencies
Foundational knowledge and experience with CT/MRI systems (preferred), as well as Endoscopy, Ultrasound, and X-ray systems.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, electrical schematics, and service documentation.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
Customer service orientation, good communication, and professional client-handling skills.
Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently across Ethiopia for nationwide service calls.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency maintenance requests.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with major brands (Mindray, GE, Siemens, Philips), basic IT/networking knowledge (PACS, DICOM), strong attitude, and a fast learning curve.
