Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Division Head – Home Care Unit oversees all quality control, quality assurance, and laboratory operations for the home care product line. The role ensures that raw materials, intermediates, and finished products comply with national and international quality standards, drives continuous process improvement, manages departmental budgets and personnel, and maintains robust safety, hygiene, and integrated management systems (IMS).
Key Responsibilities
Ensure health, safety, and hygiene requirements are strictly met across the department in line with QA and IMS standards.
Prepare, request approval for, and manage the department’s draft budget and annual action plan.
Oversee inspection results, sampling, and testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products against regulatory, company, and customer standards.
Prepare quality reports, analytical reports, Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for finished products, and stability reports.
Manage, monitor, measure, and review internal processes affecting product quality and collaborate with customers, employees, and outsourcing firms on product requirements.
Timely calibrate analytical equipment as required and plan/implement all laboratory and in-process control activities.
Check batch records and stay updated on standards, regulations, laws, and news regarding product/service quality.
Foster a well-trained, motivated staff, maintain discipline, determine training needs, and conduct employee performance reviews.
Determine, negotiate, and agree upon in-house quality procedures, standards, specifications, and raw material requirements with suppliers.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with national and international standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Record, analyze, and distribute statistical information while acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Educational Background:
BSc degree
in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
Work Experience
Minimum of
4 years
of work experience at a
supervisory level
, specifically working in
soap and detergent manufacturing companies
.
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, supervisory, and leadership skills.
Excellent understanding of FSMS, EMS, QMS, and OHSMS requirements.
Good presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
