Job Summary
The Junior Technician is responsible for carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance, technical service requests, utility monitoring, and equipment installations. The role ensures that mechanical and electrical systems, facility equipment, and utility machinery operate safely and efficiently in compliance with company safety, hygiene, quality, and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute all planned maintenance activities, machine expansions, and technical service work orders (WO).
Perform breakdown maintenance, conduct breakdown (BD) analyses, and report abnormalities.
Assemble, install, and test new machines, mechanical/electrical equipment, and piping systems.
Follow up on regular service plans for utility machinery, site facilities, and company vehicles (in coordination with the auto technician).
Record daily utility consumption data and log all service activities for the Technician Head and Technical Manager.
Follow the spare part management system, handle inventory, and submit orders as needed.
Implement 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tools in the workspace.
Adhere strictly to company safety, hygiene, quality, and FSMS rules, reporting any food safety problems to designated personnel.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Educational Background:
BA Degree
in Mechanical Engineering OR
TVET Level IV
in a relevant technical field.
Work Experience
Minimum of
3 years
of relevant maintenance experience.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for equipment installation and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
