Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the HR Department in delivering daily human resources services, managing employee and industrial relations, handling disciplinary processes and payroll, administering employee engagement programs, and maintaining accurate HR documentation at the Kurmuk Gold Mine site.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support for employee relations and industrial relations matters, including handling grievances and complaints.
Coordinate and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, hearings, and exit interviews while maintaining accurate, confidential records.
Prepare payroll and maintain organized spreadsheets for HR submissions, approvals, and tracking actions.
Compile and submit weekly and monthly HR reports, man-hour reports, and relevant documentation.
Administer employee incentive programs, engagement activities, and coordinate training and development initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with company HR policies, health & safety standards, and applicable labor regulations.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
University Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in human resources, employee relations, or industrial relations (experience interacting with Labour Offices or employee representatives is an advantage).
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of employment practices, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive, confidential information.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
