Job Summary

The Cash Service Attendant receives cash from the Head against signatures on the cash book, sorts and verifies currency, and hands over cash in a timely manner. The role also involves countersigning on tickets and summary sheets as required.

Key Responsibilities

Securely receive cash disbursements from the Head, carefully verifying amounts and acknowledging receipt by signing the appropriate cash book documentation.

Conduct thorough physical sorting, counting, and verification of currency notes to ensure accuracy, detect discrepancies, and identify potential issues.

Hand over processed and verified cash to the Head in a secure and timely manner to maintain smooth daily branch operations.

Review, verify, and countersign transaction tickets, summary sheets, and related logs accurately as and when required by branch procedures.

Maintain rigorous adherence to currency security features, anti-counterfeiting measures, and internal banking control standards during all cash handling procedures.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education

10+3 / Level IV / Diploma in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related fields.

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

Required Skills & Competencies

Clear understanding of currency and banking emerging issues, including anti-counterfeiting deterrence measures, currency processing technology, security features, and best practices.

Stock management, organizational, logistical, and administrative skills.

Strong behavioral attributes including professionalism, integrity, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer relationship management.
