Job Summary
BMK Engineerings is seeking qualified and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers to support ongoing building construction projects in Adama. In this role, you will oversee electromechanical installations, manage HVAC and cleanroom systems, coordinate quality control, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise junior staff while maintaining high standards of technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Supervision:
Perform building design, construction, electromechanical installation, and project supervision.
Specialized Systems Management:
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, cleanroom systems, PLC panels, and firefighting/fire protection systems.
Precision Engineering:
Execute turbine and generator alignment works and ensure overall mechanical systems quality control.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare and review shop drawings, technical submittals, and as-built documentation using applicable engineering software.
Team Leadership:
Mentor, supervise, and coach junior engineering staff while maintaining efficient project coordination.
Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Total Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Mandatory Technical Experience:
Proven experience in HVAC system design/installation/commissioning and cleanroom system installation/supervision.
Specific Technical Skills:
Expertise in electromechanical installations, PLC panel setup, fire protection systems, turbine/generator alignment, and proficiency in relevant mechanical design software.
Regulatory & Standards Knowledge:
Excellent practical understanding of Ethiopian construction regulations, standards, and codes.
Language Skills:
Fluency in English and Amharic; knowledge of Afan Oromo is an added advantage.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, conflict management, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
