Job Summary
Digital Transformation Ethiopia Association is seeking a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant & Accountant to support day-to-day administrative and financial operations. In this dual role, you will provide administrative support, maintain financial and accounting records, handle routine financial transactions, manage procurement and logistics, and ensure the efficient operation of the office.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities
Office Operations:
Manage daily administrative activities, organize correspondence, and maintain clean administrative filing systems.
Logistics & Procurement:
Support procurement processes, manage office supplies, monitor inventories, and liaise with suppliers and partners.
Event & Communication Coordination:
Organize meetings, workshops, and appointments, and draft official letters, reports, and meeting minutes.
Accounting & Financial Responsibilities
Financial Records:
Maintain accurate accounting records, record daily transactions, and ensure all entries are properly authorized and documented.
Document & Voucher Management:
Prepare payment requests, receipts, vouchers, and maintain filing for invoices, bank documents, and audit trails.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
Assist with cash and bank reconciliations, support budget preparations, monitor expenditures, and prepare timely financial reports for management and audits.
Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Work Experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience in administrative and accounting/finance activities.
Technical Skills:
Good understanding of basic accounting principles and office administration. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word). Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, problem-solving, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team with high integrity.
Language & Desirable Qualifications:
Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic. Prior experience in an NGO, association, development organization, or private firm is preferred.
