Job Summary
The Junior Accountant will handle and support the company’s daily accounting activities, including sales, purchases, expenses, cash, bank transactions, customer and supplier accounts, inventory records, and import-related accounting.
Main Responsibilities
Transaction Processing:
Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments accurately in the company ERP/accounting system.
Documentation & Filing:
Prepare, organize, and maintain proper filing for invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents.
Cash & Bank Management:
Check daily sales and cash collections from company shops and perform regular cash and bank reconciliations.
Accounts Receivable & Payable:
Maintain customer and supplier accounts, follow up on outstanding customer payments, and record supplier invoices and payments.
Inventory & Import Support:
Assist with inventory and warehouse accounting records, check goods receiving/issuing documents, and support import-related accounting and documentation.
Taxation & Compliance:
Assist with VAT, withholding tax, and other tax records to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Reporting & Closing:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports, identify accounting discrepancies, and assist the Senior Accountant with monthly financial closings.
Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in an import/export, trading, wholesale, or distribution company is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Good knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with ERP/accounting software, and a good understanding of VAT and withholding tax.
