Job Summary
The Fleet Information Officer is responsible for managing, tracking, and analyzing fleet-related data and documentation to ensure efficient transport operations. The role supports the logistics department by maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and performance reports.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily fleet operations, vehicle assignments, and dispatch schedules to ensure efficient transport logistics.
Maintain and update accurate digital and physical records of vehicle history, maintenance logs, fuel usage, and insurance documentation.
Track vehicle tracking system (GPS) data and report any unauthorized usage, delays, or route deviations.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule routine servicing, repairs, and inspections for all fleet vehicles.
Prepare regular weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and fuel efficiency for management.
Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all fleet operations.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
1st Degree or Diploma in Transport Management or a related field of study from a recognized university.
Experience
2 years of relevant experience for degree holders, or 4 years of relevant experience for diploma holders.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Familiarity with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
