Job Summary
The Personal Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation to the assigned Managing Director. The role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, punctuality, and responsibility. The driver will ensure the assigned vehicle is well maintained, clean, and always ready for use while supporting authorised transportation and personal errands as required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, comfortable, and timely transportation to the MD.
Drive the employer to meetings, appointments, official engagements, and other authorised destinations.
Plan routes and use appropriate navigation tools to ensure efficient journeys.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the employer''s movements, activities, conversations, and personal affairs.
Conduct daily checks on the vehicle and promptly report any faults or maintenance requirements.
Keep the vehicle clean, well maintained, fueled, and presentable at all times.
Ensure timely servicing, repairs, insurance, licensing, and other necessary vehicle documentation.
Observe all traffic laws and road safety regulations and practice defensive driving.
Assist with authorized errands, document deliveries, airport pickups, and other transportation-related tasks.
Maintain accurate records of fuel, mileage, servicing, and other vehicle-related expenses where required.
Exercise professionalism and courtesy when interacting with the employer, guests, staff, and members of the public.
Ensure the safety and security of passengers and the vehicle at all times.
Perform other transportation-related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent qualification.
Valid Nigerian driver''s licence.
Minimum of 2 years'' experience as a personal, executive, corporate, or professional driver.
Good knowledge of Abuja and surrounding areas, with the ability to navigate efficiently.
Proven safe driving record and good knowledge of road safety regulations.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to use Google Maps and other navigation applications.
Excellent punctuality, reliability, and time-management skills.
Must be trustworthy, discreet, respectful, and professional.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays when required.
Must be physically fit and capable of carrying out the demands of the role.
