Job Summary
The Branch Accountant serves as the financial custodian, ensuring 100% accurate transaction processing, daily reconciliations, and transparent reporting. The position supports team integration through morning huddles and delivers clear financial information to build member trust and eliminate service delays.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Transaction Processing:
Process all savings, withdrawals, transfers, and loan repayments with 100% accuracy, issuing official receipts and performing real-time data entry into the ERP/Core Banking system.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
Conduct daily bank and member account reconciliations to ensure audit readiness, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements including balance sheets, trial balances, and performance reports.
Member Services:
Open and maintain member accounts, resolve financial inquiries professionally, and educate members on Amigos’ financial products and digital services.
Business Growth & Outreach:
Proactively mobilize savings and deposits, participating in marketing campaigns and community outreach activities to recruit new members.
Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines.
Work Experience
0 to 2 years of core accounting experience in financial institutions.
Core Skills:
Strong attention to detail, proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliations, competency in core banking/ERP systems, and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
