Job Summary
The Senior Compounding / Mixer Machine Operator oversees chemical compounding, material quality, and manufacturing processes for plastic piping and infrastructure products at LESSO Ethiopia Trading Plc''s state-of-the-art facility. Operating within the manufacturing plant near Addis Ababa, the role ensures precise polymer formulation, monitors extrusion and molding operations, and maintains high standards of product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Compound Management:
Monitor and optimize chemical compounding, raw material mixing, and polymer extrusion processes for water and sewerage pipes.
Quality Control & Testing:
Inspect raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with strict international and company quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Optimization:
Analyze production bottlenecks or material defects, applying technical solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Ensure all plant operations, chemical handling, and waste management practices adhere to industrial safety and environmental regulations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed production, material usage, and quality assurance logs.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field, OR a Diploma in General Mechanics, Electricity, or industrial processing.
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant hands-on experience within a plastic manufacturing industry or chemical processing plant.

Strong technical understanding of polymer processing, chemical properties, and industrial manufacturing workflows.
