Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate end-to-end delivery of research projects, including activities, milestones, responsibilities, budgets, dependencies, and deliverables.
Guide research design and development of research questions, study protocols, tools, and analysis plans in collaboration with technical specialists and partners.
Coordinate research operations, including ethics applications, institutional permissions, site preparation, training, fieldwork, and data management.
Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables, identify implementation challenges, and coordinate corrective actions.
Oversee research staff, consultants, and data collection teams, ensuring adherence to approved protocols, ethical requirements, timelines, and data governance procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Clinical qualification in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, or another relevant health profession, with a Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Maternal and Newborn Health, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, including substantial responsibility for managing health research projects or research components of health programmes.
Demonstrated experience in maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) research and/or programme delivery.
Experience coordinating research activities across protocol development, ethics processes, fieldwork, data quality assurance, analysis, and reporting.
Experience working with healthcare facilities, government institutions, or academic partners.
