Job Summary
Responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and delivering projects within approved scope, timeline, budget, quality standards, and expectations, while effectively managing project teams, resources, risks, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery:
Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Coordinate project activities from initiation to completion.
Ensure projects remain aligned with approved scope, objectives, and timelines.
Monitor milestones and take corrective action on delays or deviations.
Team & Resource Management:
Coordinate project teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, and other resources.
Assign responsibilities, establish priorities, and track deliverables.
Ensure efficient utilisation of people, materials, equipment, and other resources.
Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and monitor project budgets and expenditure.
Track actual costs against approved budgets and address variances.
Support procurement and ensure resources are acquired cost-effectively.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Maintain effective communication with clients, management, team members, and external stakeholders.
Manage expectations, project requirements, approvals, and feedback.
Resolve project issues and escalate matters requiring management intervention.
Risk & Issue Management:
Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks.
Develop mitigation and contingency measures.
Maintain an effective risk and issue register and ensure timely resolution.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure project deliverables meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
Ensure identified defects or deficiencies are promptly addressed.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Track project performance against scope, budget, timelines, milestones, and KPIs.
Prepare periodic project status reports for management and clients.
Maintain accurate project documentation, records, approvals, and correspondence.
Change Management:
Assess and document changes to project scope, cost, resources, or timelines.
Obtain appropriate approval before implementing material changes.
Control scope creep and ensure approved changes are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Project Closure:
Coordinate final deliverables, client acceptance, handover, and project close-out.
Ensure outstanding issues, documentation, payments, and contractual obligations are resolved.
Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree / HND in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
5–7 years’ relevant project management experience.
Proven experience managing project teams, budgets, timelines, vendors, and stakeholders.
PMP, Agile, or other relevant certification is an advantage.
Proficiency in project management and productivity tools.
