Summary
The Primary 4 Teacher will provide effective teaching and learning experiences, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support pupils'' academic, social, moral, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the school curriculum and scheme of work.
Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, instructional materials, assignments, classwork, and assessments.
Teach and assess pupils effectively across assigned subjects.
Monitor pupils’ academic progress and provide appropriate support where necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupils’ attendance, assessments, performance, and general development.
Manage the classroom effectively and maintain a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment.
Encourage pupils to develop good study habits, confidence, discipline, responsibility, and positive values.
Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate intervention and support.
Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding pupils’ academic performance and general welfare.
Participate actively in staff meetings, school programmes, extracurricular activities, and other assigned duties.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of the school management team.
Ensure that pupils follow the school’s rules, policies, routines, and standards of conduct.
Set, mark, and record continuous assessments, tests, examinations, and other academic activities.
Provide constructive feedback to pupils to help improve their learning and performance.
Maintain professional standards in appearance, conduct, punctuality, classroom management, and interaction with pupils and colleagues.
Perform other reasonable teaching and administrative duties assigned by the school management.
