The Personal Assistant to the COO (Accountant) will provide high-level administrative, financial and analytical support to the Chief Operating Officer. The role requires an individual with a strong accounting background who can support the COO in reviewing financial information, tracking operational expenditure, preparing reports and coordinating day-to-day executive activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative and accounting support to the COO.
Prepare, review and organize financial reports, expense schedules, reconciliations and other financial documentation.
Monitor budgets, expenditure, payment requests and financial commitments as assigned.
Assist with financial analysis and preparation of management reports.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
Coordinate the COO’s meetings, appointments, correspondence and follow-up actions.
Prepare presentations, reports, spreadsheets and briefing documents.
Liaise with the Finance/Accounts department and other business units on behalf of the COO.
Track assigned operational and financial deliverables and ensure timely follow-up.
Handle confidential financial and executive information with discretion.
Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the COO.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in accounting, finance, executive support or a similar role.
Professional accounting qualification or progress towards ICAN/ACCA will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality and organizational ability.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
