Job Summary
The Maintenance / Production Engineer or Technician ensures the continuous, efficient operation of machinery and automated production lines at LESSO Ethiopia Trading Plc''s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Operating within the industrial plant near Addis Ababa, the role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on specialized manufacturing equipment, troubleshoots mechanical and electrical faults, and supports optimal plant productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and rapid corrective repairs on plastic manufacturing machinery, electrical systems, and plant equipment.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational faults to minimize equipment downtime.
Plant Operations Support:
Support production teams in setting up, calibrating, and optimizing machinery for manufacturing water pipes, sewerage pipes, and electrical conduits.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to industrial safety standards, equipment operating guidelines, and environmental regulations within the plant.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare parts inventories, and service reports for all plant machinery.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, OR a Level III / Level IV Diploma in General Mechanics, Electricity, or industrial maintenance.
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant hands-on experience working within a plastic manufacturing industry or heavy industrial plant.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
