Job Summary
A Bank Operations Manager oversees daily branch or department workflows, manages teller and support staff, enforces internal controls, and ensures compliance with financial regulations. They balance cash management, resolve complex customer issues, and optimise service delivery to reduce risk and cut costs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily banking operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely service delivery.
Supervise teller and support staff, coordinate daily activities, and monitor operational performance.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, operational procedures, and established control measures.
Monitor cash management activities and ensure the accuracy of cash handling, transactions, and reconciliations.
Identify operational risks, strengthen internal controls, and take appropriate action to address discrepancies.
Handle complex customer issues and support the resolution of service-related complaints.
Review operational reports and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimise risk.
Support staff development and ensure that employees follow established banking procedures and service standards.
Educational Qualifications
BSc or BA degree in Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or related fields.
Experience Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in a relevant position in the banking industry.
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Branch Manager I or in an equivalent position.
