Purpose of the Job

To provide rapid, secure, and weatherproof delivery of urgent documents, cheques, and small parcels between the Bank, its branches, and external stakeholders, including the Central Bank and Tax Authorities.

Generic Functions

Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct and embody the Bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public.

Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparent work practices.

Provide services in accordance with the service level agreement.

Contribute to the Bank’s profitability in line with the targets set.

Adhere to the Bank’s internal control system and risk management program.

Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on plan performance.

Implement timely corrective actions on deficiencies and issues raised or reported by different internal and external regulatory bodies.

Specific Functions

Properly and promptly deliver urgent documents, packages, and transfer letters to Bank branches, corporate clients, government offices, and other stakeholders using appropriate dispatch protocols.

Facilitate the rapid movement of high-priority documents to designated signatories, ensuring they are signed and returned to the originating department without delay.

Ensure the motorbike is maintained in a clean and presentable condition, reflecting the Bank’s professional image during all external interactions.

Report any malfunctions with the tracking device, mechanical breakdowns, or road accidents immediately to the Manager to ensure staff safety and asset protection.

Conduct daily checks to ensure the motorbike is in good working order, focusing on tires, brakes, and engine performance to prevent roadside breakdowns.

Keep mileage logs and repair records up to date, ensuring a clear history of fuel usage and maintenance costs is available for audit.

Handle all delivery paperwork, ensuring that every document handed over is acknowledged with a clear signature on the return copy or in the dispatch book.

Qualifications

Completion of Grade 10 or Grade 12.

Old Grade 1 driving license or motorcycle license.

Experience

Two (2) years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills and Competencies

Good time management and ability to deliver documents promptly.

Responsible handling of confidential and sensitive documents.

Basic record-keeping and documentation skills.

Ability to follow delivery instructions and dispatch procedures accurately.

Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Awareness of road safety and basic motorcycle maintenance.

Professional conduct and a strong sense of responsibility.
