KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Company''s financial strategy, planning and performance management.
Develop, maintain and stress-test sophisticated
financial models
for power and infrastructure projects.
Lead
fundraising and capital mobilisation
, including engagement with investors, commercial banks, DFIs and development partners.
Develop and manage
project finance structures, funding strategies and financing plans
.
Lead the financial aspects of
project preparation and development
in accordance with internationally recognised standards, including
IFC-aligned project preparation and investment requirements
.
Prepare investment memoranda, financial models, financing proposals and presentations for potential investors and lenders.
Lead
treasury management
, including cash-flow forecasting, liquidity management, banking relationships, working capital and foreign exchange exposure.
Provide financial and commercial analysis to support project structuring, tariffs, PPAs, contracts and investment decisions.
Develop financial strategies for project construction, commissioning and transition to commercial operations.
Monitor project financial performance, returns, financing costs, debt-service capacity and financial risks.
Establish appropriate financial controls, reporting frameworks, policies and governance systems.
Provide strategic financial advice to the Managing Director and Board on investment, funding and business-development decisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, financial advisers, regulators and other key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor''s degree in
Accounting, Finance
A recognised professional qualification such as
ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA
or equivalent is required.
An MBA, MSc in Finance, Project Finance, Investment Banking or a related field will be an advantage.
Minimum of
10 years'' relevant professional experience
, with significant experience in senior financial management, project finance, investment banking, infrastructure finance or the energy sector.
Demonstrable expertise in
financial modelling and project finance
.
Proven track record in
fundraising/capital raising and financing transactions
.
Strong experience in
treasury and liquidity management
.
Experience in
power, energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive sectors
is highly desirable.
Experience preparing projects to meet
IFC/DFI/institutional investor and lender requirements
will be a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of
power-sector economics, tariffs, PPAs, project development and energy-market dynamics
.
