Job Summary

The Business Development & Project Planning Expert leads the identification, evaluation, structuring, and planning of strategic business and investment opportunities across the Group. Operating within the Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO), the role converts strategic concepts into commercially viable, financially sound, and implementation-ready projects by developing robust business cases, feasibility studies, financial models, budgets, schedules, and governance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Opportunity Identification:

Identify and assess new business, investment, diversification, and partnership opportunities aligned with the Group''s strategy, maintaining a structured project pipeline.

Project Concept & Planning:

Translate approved opportunities into structured project concepts, defining scopes, charters, objectives, work breakdown structures (WBS), and implementation roadmaps.

Feasibility Studies & Business Cases:

Coordinate and develop pre-feasibility and comprehensive feasibility studies, conducting commercial, technical, operational, and economic assessments.

Financial & Investment Analysis:

Develop and review project financial models, calculate NPV, IRR, ROI, payback periods, and CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and prepare bankable proposals for investors and financial institutions.

Project Budgeting & Scheduling:

Establish detailed project budgets, cost baselines, and integrated master schedules with defined milestones, dependencies, and critical path analysis.

Project Governance & Stage-Gate Support:

Support the CPMO in applying the Group''s Project Governance Framework and Stage-Gate process, preparing required documentation and management dashboards.

Market Research & Stakeholder Coordination:

Conduct market sizing, competitor analysis, and demand forecasts while coordinating cross-functional teams, external consultants, and financial stakeholders.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field

(A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Economics, or Engineering Management is preferred).

Experience

Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in business development, investment analysis, project development, feasibility studies, consulting, project finance, or corporate planning. Experience within capital-intensive sectors (industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, real estate, or infrastructure) is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong financial modeling, investment appraisal, risk analysis, and strategic planning capabilities.

Excellent cross-functional coordination, report-writing, and executive presentation skills.
