Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Lead to drive the adoption of our cooperative society management software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting cooperative societies, thrift societies, unions, and related organisations into clients.

This role requires strong sales and relationship-building skills, the ability to clearly communicate product value, and a proactive approach to meeting revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Identify and target cooperative societies, thrift societies, credit unions, and similar organisations.

Research industry trends and potential clients to build a strong pipeline of prospects.

Generate leads through networking events, association meetings, referrals, and online platforms.

Sales and Relationship Management:

Conduct product demonstrations and present the benefits of the software to decision-makers.

Develop and deliver tailored proposals that address the specific needs of each organisation.

Build and maintain long-term client relationships that support renewals and referrals. • Closing and Commercial Discussions

Close deals based on the approved pricing structure.

Discuss and agree commercial terms such as payment plans, contract duration, volume packages, and onboarding arrangements within company guidelines.

Ensure smooth handover to the implementation and support teams after closing.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Work closely with the product, support, and technical teams to ensure successful client onboarding.

Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.

Provide market feedback to support continuous improvement of the product and sales approach.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or software/SaaS sales.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Experience selling to cooperative societies, financial institutions, or communitybased organisations is an advantage.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Strong closing and commercial discussion skills.

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Basic understanding of accounting principles and cooperative financial operations is highly preferred.
