Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly organised Account Officer to support the company''s financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, monitoring inventory documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
Carry out bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
Prepare financial reports and maintain supporting documentation.
Monitor inventory records and sales documentation.
Verify transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
Support payroll administration and statutory remittances.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Requirements
A bachelor''s degree (B.Sc. or HND equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme is mandatory.
A minimum of two (2) years and a maximum of five (5) years of post-NYSC experience in an accounting-related role.
Practical knowledge of at least one accounting software package.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Candidates must currently reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting.
Experience working in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, agricultural, or veterinary sector.
Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory deductions.
