Role Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for accurate day‑to‑day financial recordkeeping, statutory compliance, tax management, payroll, and financial reporting to support operational decision‑making for a cleaning and facilities services business. The role ensures cashflow integrity, cost control across service contracts, and timely regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
Manage payroll processing and statutory deductions.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Excellent knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).

Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory: ACCA or ICAN certification or in view.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting (preferably in service-oriented industries).
Solid knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
