Job Summary
Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, handling sales transactions, and processing online e-tax declarations via the Ministry of Revenues. The role involves monitoring cash flows, expenses, reconciliations, and inventory control to support the financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Management:
Maintain accurate daily accounting transactions, general ledger records, and proper document filing systems.
Reporting & Reconciliations:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, monitor cash and sales, and execute regular reconciliations.
Tax & Statutory Compliance:
Handle online e-tax payments and declarations for the Ministry of Revenues of Ethiopia.
Inventory & Cost Control:
Support inventory tracking, cost-control activities, and analyze purchase and sales transactions.
Closing Support:
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures alongside day-to-day sales transaction management.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
BA Degree in Accounting and Finance.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of proven accounting experience (with at least 1 year of restaurant or retail sector accounting experience).
Required Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in accounting software (such as Peachtree) and MS Office applications.
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities.
