Job Summary
The Compensation & Benefits / Payroll Officer manages end-to-end payroll processing, time attendance administration, and compensation tracking for permanent, daily, contract, and piece-rate workers. Operating within the human resources department, the role ensures accurate salary and overtime calculations, monitors employee leave and attendance, handles termination payments, and administers C&B inquiries and HR information modules.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Compensation Administration:
Collect attendance data from biometric machines, encode approved overtime, and prepare comprehensive payrolls for permanent, daily, piece-rate, contract, and outsourced production/loading workers.
Time & Attendance Management:
Monitor employee attendance and timesheets across all work units, manage time-off balances, follow up on absentees, and handle leave tracking (annual, sick, maternity, paternity) and periodic leave balance reports.
Termination & C&B Processing:
Prepare final termination payments, manage transport fee requests, calculate incentive payments and recognition awards, and administer employee inquiries regarding medical benefits, taxes, insurance, and leave.
HR Compliance & Policy Execution:
Interpret policy manuals for compensation administration, handle HR system modules for personal profiles and leave management, and issue formal notices for extended unauthorized absences or unpaid leave suspensions.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual expense, manpower, and payroll summary reports for management review.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study.
Experience
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in compensation & benefit management and/or payroll administration, including at least 2 years in a senior or equivalent capacity.
Required Skills & Competencies
Thorough knowledge of payroll systems, attendance tracking machinery, and labor policies.
Strong numerical accuracy and administrative record-keeping capabilities.
