About the Role
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Content Writer with a strong academic background in English, English Literature, or a closely related discipline.
The ideal candidate has an excellent command of the English language, strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to create clear, engaging, accurate, and well-structured content for different audiences and platforms.
This is a hybrid position requiring the successful candidate to work from the office 3 days per week, with the remaining working days conducted remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Research, write, edit, and proofread high-quality articles and other written content.
Produce original, engaging, informative, and well-structured articles.
Ensure all content meets the required word count, quality standards, tone, and formatting guidelines.
Conduct thorough research and use credible sources to develop accurate content.
Ensure articles are grammatically correct, clear, concise, and easy to read.
Adapt writing style and tone to suit different topics and target audiences.
Apply SEO writing principles, including appropriate keyword usage, headings, readability, and content structure.
Review and edit content based on feedback from editors or managers.
Meet agreed deadlines and maintain consistent writing quality.
Collaborate with the content and marketing team to develop content ideas and topics.
Ensure all submitted content is original and free from plagiarism.
Stay informed about relevant industry, content, and digital marketing trends.
Requirements
Bachelor''s degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field is mandatory.
Previous experience in professional writing, content creation, copywriting, journalism, publishing, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent command of written English.
Exceptional grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
Strong research and analytical abilities.
Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
Ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
Basic understanding of SEO and digital content writing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Willingness and ability to work from the office 3 days per week.
Compensation
₦2,500 per completed and approved article.
