The Storekeeper is responsible for implementing field-level logistics operations, managing day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of goods, and maintaining strict inventory control and safeguarding compliance in accordance with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehousing activities and maintain a clean, secure, and organized store environment.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery documentation, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory records, update stock cards and databases regularly, and conduct routine physical stock counts.
Issue goods according to approved requisitions and proper documentation.
Monitor stock levels, track expiration dates, and notify relevant departments regarding low stock.
Maintain a supplier database and ensure asset security to prevent loss, damage, or theft.
Uphold strict safeguarding and protection standards regarding child and vulnerable adult policies, PSEA, and code of conduct.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Diploma in Procurement & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (Professional certification preferred).
Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of procurement and logistics experience. Experience with INGOs and donor-specific procurement procedures is an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
Sound knowledge of supply chain management, warehousing, inventory tracking, and asset management.
Familiarity with ERP systems and good proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, databases).
Strong command of both written and spoken English and Amharic.
High integrity, autonomy, and quantitative ability.
