Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Telecom Network Deployment Planning and Execution

Develop and manage detailed project plans for the deployment of Power and telecom infrastructure.

Vendor and Contractor Management

Oversee procurement, contracts, and

program

performance of vendors and contractors involved in the supply, installation, and maintenance of different systems.

Ensure timely delivery of equipment and services while maintaining quality standards.

Resource and Budget Management

Manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project milestones efficiently.

Monitor project budgets and control costs, ensuring adherence to financial targets.

Risk and Issue Management

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to deployment, including equipment failures, delays, and regulatory compliance.

Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges during implementation.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Ensure all systems meet technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with design and deployment guidelines.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders of deployment projects.

Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and mitigations to project leadership and clients.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Track key performance metrics, such as deployment timelines, system reliability, and operational efficiency.

Generate and present reports on deployment status, challenges, and successes.

Integration with Telecom Operations

Collaborate with network deployment teams to synchronize power infrastructure with telecom site commissioning.

Ensure all systems are operational and ready to support network rollout schedules.

Decision Ownership

Deployment Scheduling

Authority to define and adjust project timelines and deployment sequences to meet project goals.

Vendor and Contractor Selection

Make recommendations or decisions on the selection of vendors and contractors for the infrastructure projects.

Resource Allocation

Decide on the allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials for site-specific network deployments.

Risk Mitigation Strategies

Implement risk management actions, including schedule adjustments, resource reallocation, or vendor replacements, to address potential disruptions.

Budget Control

Authority to approve expenditures within defined limits and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Technical and Quality Decisions

Make decisions on technical specifications, equipment acceptance, and corrective actions to address quality issues.

Escalation Handling

Decide when to escalate critical issues to senior management or stakeholders for resolution.

Change Requests

Review and approve change requests related to a project scope, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

Qualifications

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree: In Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields.

Project/Program management 7+ years’ experience

PMP certification or similar is a Plus

Experience in telecom rollout or related Technology infrastructure projects, Telecom network & Power Solutions

In-depth understanding of telecom power & network components

Knowledge of power & TI connection procedures, permits, and integration with telecom infrastructure.

Familiarity with electrical safety codes for telecom site deployments.

Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for reporting, data visualization, and performance analysis.

Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, vendors, and contractors.
