Job Description / Key Responsibilities Team Lead

Specific Tasks:

Design and implement strategic communication and advocacy activities to increase awareness, understanding, and stakeholder buy-in for Independent Monitoring of SP interventions.

Ensure all materials and messaging is clear, culturally appropriate, and reaches both policy makers and grassroots communities.

Design annual and quarterly communication plans with clear targets, audiences, and channels.

Produce high-quality communication materials including policy briefs, case studies, fact sheets and infographics, success stories and human-interest stories.

Support the Community Entry Officer in community entry processes including stakeholder engagement, sensitization and mobilization of project participants.

Ensure the availability of banners for all activities and the visibility for EU and BMZ is prioritized during all activities.

In collaboration with the GIZ responsible staff and the SEPIN SUSI Communication’s Adviser, ensure that the activity banners are provided in accordance with the EU and GIZ requirements.

The continuation of the Short-term Expert Pool (Enumerators) – 20 Enumerators section reads:

Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards.

Use digital data collection tools correctly and securely.

Ensure gender and social inclusion principles are applied.

Prepare and submit a comprehensive report for the town hall meetings including summary of discussions, concerns, recommendations and action points.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor''s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, Social Sciences or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications, public relations, journalism or development communication.

Candidates should demonstrate strong skills in content development, media engagement, social media management, photography/videography, graphic design and production of communication and visibility materials.

Experience with NGOs, international development/donor-funded programmes and knowledge of GIZ/EU/BMZ visibility requirements will be an advantage.

Previous experience in Borno/Northeast Nigeria and knowledge of Hausa or Kanuri are desirable
