Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery to ensure maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
Install, align, and calibrate production machinery.
Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety standards.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve production targets.
Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Train machine operators on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
HND/
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the Food Manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, welding, and fabrication.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an added advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work shifts in a manufacturing environment.
