The Federal Government of Somalia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Somalia - Horn of Africa Infrastructure Integration Project (SHIIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consulting Services.2. The consulting services (?the Services?) include the development of Somalia National Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan. The Consultant will undertake all the specific tasks detailed in the Terms of Reference. The assignment duration is 5 months (20 weeks), and the professional staff-months are 23.3. The Detailed Terms of Reference for this assignment, with the scope of the assignment, can be found on the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing?s website:?www.mpwr.gov.so,?or it can be provided upon submission of the application by e-mail to the e-mail address provided below.4. The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing of the Federal Government of Somalia (?Client?) now invites eligible consulting firms (?Consultants?) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.The shortlisting criteria are as follows:(a) Core business and years in business:The firmshallbe registered/incorporated as a consulting firm with core business in any of the following areas: (i) Civil Engineering / Transportation Engineering; (ii) Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering; (iii) Road Safety Engineering; or (iv) Road Safety Management and Policy Development; ?for a period of at least fifteen (15) years.
