Senior Legal Counsel

Summary:?? The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal advice and support to the core and support functions of EIH to ensure the compliance of their operations, activities, and transactions with all applicable/relevant policies, law and regulations and alignment with EIH objectives, vision, and mission. Main tasks: Provide timely and pragmatic legal advice and support to all functions of EIH and its executive management on all legal issues;Draft, review and negotiate various contracts and transaction documents;Research, evaluate and proffer recommendations on different risk factors regarding the operations of EIH; Prepare any documents for submission to and represent EIH in a court or any dispute resolution body;Liaise and coordinate with external legal support;Review and prepare comments on draft laws that affect the operations of EIH;Perform any other additional tasks as directed by the General Counsel within the scope of the position. Per the company?s pay scale and Benefit packageMinimum requirements: Education and work experience LLB, and LLM in corporate, business or commercial, trade and/ or investment, financial, economic or other similar field of law;10 years? experience in the private sector, whether as a licensed lawyer, a member of a major law office/ firm or an in-house legal team of a major company, focusing on commercial contracting and/ or investment transactions;Two years? experience managing a team;Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various complex contracts/transaction documents. Analytical and communication skills, and personal qualities Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect and work effectively with diverse local and foreign stakeholders and counterparts in private and public sectors;Analytical and inquisitive mind with attention to detail;Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;Strong professional integrity.Fluent in both English and Amharic
