Requirnment Brief about EIHThe Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) was established on December 29th, 2021, through the Council of Ministers Regulation No 487/2021. The objectives of EIH include serving as the strategic investment arm of the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) and contributing to sustainable economic development, through the management of its funds and assets, and achieving optimal use of the assets, in accordance with the international best practice and rules to maximize the value for the benefit of current and future generations of Ethiopians. EIH has acquired 27 state-owned enterprises (SOEs) following the decision of its Board of Directors. In line with its mandate, EIH will implement best-practice corporate governance and performance management techniques to ensure the long-term value creation of its subsidiary companies, and in doing so, enable them to attract investment that will help address strategic needs of the Ethiopian economy. Major Duties and responsibilitiesThe role holder is responsible for and provides technical advice for EIH team to produce the below deliverables: Coordinate drafting and refinement of long / medium term EIH plans with the guidance of Chief Strategy Officer and provide input of other functions such as by creating outline, conducting analyses Coordinate the translation of medium/long term plan into annual corporate plan with the input of other functions  Coordinate development of quarterly performance reports, conduct variance analysis against plan and recommendations to address any lags or deviations Support the development of reporting solutions (such as dashboard) Support the establishment and management of strategic partnerships by drafting proposals, progress reports, etc. Any other assignments as guided by Chief Strategy Officer   Reporting Structure: The selected candidate will be reporting to the Chief Strategy OfficerRequired Competencies and qualifications   In order to fulfill her/his duties, the ideal candidate will be required to demonstrate the following competencies and qualifications. Qualifications  Bachelor degree in economics, business, finance or other related fields from an internationally or nationally accredited (high ranking) institution. Master’s degree in economics, Business, Finance or other related fields from an internationally or nationally accredited (high ranking) institution is preferred. Experience working in a corporate / business entity ideally a multinational setting focusing on strategy, planning and/or analytics functionsExperience engaging directly (reporting to or collaborating with) senior organizational leaders with joint deliverables such as strategies, plans, policies, performance analyses, etc.Competencies Exceptional strategic and analytical skills including financial analysis, trend analysis and forecastingExcellent professional writing skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word Fluency in Amharic and English, including professional writing and reading for both  Strong work ethic and professionalism. Couth, able to garner respect and build consensus among stakeholders. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and diplomatically with people of various backgrounds Able to mobilize various functions towards a shared communication objective and stakeholder engagement – applying pressure and providing support in a balanced mannerWomen are strongly encouraged to apply
