Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities within a warehouse or distribution center, including managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring health and safety compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency.
The role requires strong leadership, problem solving skills, and a meticulous approach to inventory management.
Key responsibilities
include:
Inventory Management: Overseeing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring system accuracy.
Staff Supervision: Scheduling shifts, managing performance, and handling disciplinary actions.
Safety Oversight: Enforcing OSHA regulations and maintaining a "safety-first" culture.
Inbound/Outbound Operations: Managing receiving docks and shipping schedules to meet carrier deadlines.
KPI Tracking: Monitoring metrics like pick rates, order accuracy, and dock-to-stock time.
Budget Management: Managing labor costs, operating supplies, and CapEx projects for new equipment.
Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field is required.
Experience
Should have at least 3 to 7 years experience in warehouse operations, and Supply Chain management.
Skills
Must have strong leadership, problem solving, communication, and inventory management skills.
Training:
Should possess a hands-on experience gained through entry level positions, such as warehouse associates or forklift operators
