MEDS is implementing the Dawa za Ubora Project, funded by the United States Government (USG) through the U.S. Department of State (DoS) under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and other Global Health Programs, running until June 2028. Under this mandate, MEDS provides efficient, reliable, and accountable supply chain management services for the warehousing and distribution of health commodities across all 47 counties in Kenya, supporting the prevention, treatment and management of communicable diseases and other health priorities.
About the Role
The Warehouse Assistant (Consultant) for the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Emergency Response Initiative under Dawa za Ubora provides hands on operational and technical support to ensure rapid, secure, and fully compliant handling of emergency medical commodities.
Given the high-risk nature of EVD contingencies, this short-term role focuses on maintaining tight inventory control, cold chain integrity, and strict safety protocols to ensure life-saving health products and personal protective equipment (PPE) reach priority response zones without delay.

c) Execute proper stock rotation protocols (First-Expiring, First-Out / FEFO) to mitigate product spoilage, protect temperature-sensitive emergency assets, and maintain pristine inventory tracking.
d) Participate actively in the preparation of HPTs for rapid emergency shipment, confirming that 3PLs complete accurate labeling, thermal shielding, and secure packaging.
e) Verify all physical HPTs loaded onto transit vehicles against tally sheets and delivery notes during truck dispatch to eliminate field transit discrepancies.
f) Rapidly assemble, pack, and label emergency distribution kits according to dispatch orders destined for high-risk zones, isolation units, or partner facilities.
g) Participate in routine physical stock counts, emergency cycle counts, and reconcile floor records against system balances to guarantee zero stock leakage.
