Risk and Compliance:

The role holder is required to carry out the duties in accordance with the SCI Fraud, Bribery, and Corruption policy and code of conduct. The key responsibilities include understanding and complying with the SCI policies and procedures, not committing any act of fraud, bribery, or corruption, understanding risks in their area/role, and implementing mitigation measures, report any suspected fraud, bribery, or corruption immediately, declare conflicts of interest in accordance with internal procedures and complete mandatory training related to ethics and anti-fraud measures

ROLE PURPOSE:

The position holder is responsible for Coordinate and facilitate implementation of activities and prepare weekly movement plan to TSFP distribution points, Moreover, He/she will Monitor implementation of TSFP program quality and Facilitate training and work closely with Woreda Health staffs at Health posts, Health center and district level.

In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide consistent and high-quality technical support in integrating into other Nutrition and IYCF components.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Prepare regular mentoring and monitoring of health facilities with TSFP using standard TSFP score cards/supervision check lists

Facilitate nutrition education at TSFP sites in close coordination with Nutrition education supervisor

Provide technical support for health facilities and WoHO to analysis and utilize TSFP data for local decisions

Strengthening the WoHO on TSFP database management system

Strengthen nutrition surveillance and TSFP data management system of the woreda and health facilities

Organize and conduct regular joint monitoring field visits with partners and follow up to address on identified gaps

Technically support the TSFP logistic management system at facility and woreda level to improve continues logistic availability

Ensure children Admitted to OTP and SC are discharged through TSFP

Strengthen Referral linkage with other projects running at the same woreda for those PLW/ children with MAM care takers who were already not on the list

Establish mother support group at TSFP sites by identification of bright spot mother in close collaboration with Nutrition education and community mobilization officer

Provide technical support and facilitate the routine Nutrition screening by Health facilities

Improve documentation of TSFP data at health facility level

Strengthening TSFP reporting and recording through regular supportive supervision and availing of documentation and job aids materials

Weekly, monthly and quarterly progress report based on prepared work plan for TFP

Support MEAL team by submitting Monthly data by using standard IPTT and OT as required

Support to Fill Complaint response mechanisms at field level and support to update automotive MEAL system.

About You

BSc in Nursing, Human Nutrition/Food science and Nutrition, public Health and related Field.

Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation and monitoring.

Must have TSFP warehouse nutrition program experience.

Demonstrated skills in peer group training, Training of Trainers and development of training materials.

Proficiency in spoken and written English and Local language.

Strong computer (Microsoft skills), all and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Experience & Skills

(Essential)

Minimum three years working experience for Degree out of which two-years’ experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition related fields Knowledge, training and experience in IMAM and community mobilization/BCC

Desirable (if needed)

Position holders must have good interpersonal skills & excellent team player

Knowledge of the local language (Somali language) is asset and mandatory
