Responsibilities
Accurately translate technical manuals, legal contracts, business correspondence, and marketing materials, striving to preserve the original meaning.
Review translations to ensure all company documents are grammatically and syntaxally correct and use consistent terminology.
Convert Chinese dialect audio or video files into accurate and readable English text, and vice versa.
Develop and update bilingual glossaries (especially for high-tech fields such as engineering and law) to avoid communication misunderstandings.
Provide consecutive interpreting (translating after a speaker''s pause) or simultaneous interpreting (translating simultaneously with the speaker) in on-site meetings, seminars, and negotiations.
Explain cultural differences, idioms, and social contexts to help foreign companies understand business etiquette and avoid misunderstandings with Chinese partners.
In Lagos and other Nigerian locations, interpreters are a crucial communication bridge between Chinese-speaking expatriates/management and local Nigerian employees, ensuring smooth daily operations, compliance, and workplace safety.
Job Requirements:
Male; Fluent in both English and Chinese
Able to drive
HSK Level 4 or above in Mandarin
Able to communicate fluently with Chinese people in daily life
Preference will be given to candidates with study abroad experience in China or factory management experience.
Preference will be given to those with experience working for Chinese companies
