Job Summary
The Technical Head – Office Engineering is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the Office Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Contract Administration functions, ensuring technical accuracy, cost control, contractual compliance, and seamless coordination between design and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Coordination:
Lead office engineering, quantity surveying, and contract administration functions; establish standardized technical workflows; review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals; and bridge design intent with site execution.
Quantity Surveying & Cost Control:
Supervise the preparation and review of BOQs, material take-offs, Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), variations, and claims for technical and commercial alignment.
Contract Administration & Documentation:
Oversee project correspondence, maintain robust document-control systems (utilizing Odoo or similar platforms), and support management in contract negotiations and claim defense.
Process Improvement & Digitalization:
Champion digitalization initiatives in engineering, including BIM and Odoo integration, and ensure adherence to company standards and ISO procedures.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Support:
Provide technical input for tenders, value engineering, and project planning while mentoring technical staff and collaborating across departments.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in engineering, quantity surveying, or technical management, preferably within EPC or large-scale construction projects.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and managing design coordination.
Comprehensive understanding of quantity surveying, cost control, BOQs, and contract administration.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
and working knowledge of Revit/BIM.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Required Skill Tags:
