Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the planning, analysis, design, and review of structural systems for various Piling & Construction projects.
The role requires sound technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant structural designs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare structural designs, calculations, and engineering drawings in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Conduct structural analysis and design for foundations, retaining structures, reinforced concrete, and steel structures.
Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structural adequacy and constructability.
Prepare structural reports, design notes, and technical documentation.
Support project teams during project planning, execution, and monitoring stages.
Carry out site inspections and provide technical guidance on structural-related matters.
Review subcontractor and consultant design submissions.
Ensure compliance with relevant local and international engineering standards.
Coordinate with geotechnical, project, and construction teams to optimize design solutions.
Identify structural risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical presentations when required.
Provide technical support during tendering and project estimation activities.
Requirements
Bachelor''s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in structural design and construction projects.
Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, ProtaStructure, Robot Structural Analysis, or similar.
Good knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure design.
Sound understanding of foundation engineering and construction methodologies.
COREN registration or evidence of progression towards professional registration will be an added advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
