Job Description
The Specialist – Business Intelligence & Data Governance will lead the delivery of BI solutions and data governance frameworks across internal and external business units. Working closely with BI & Data Governance Business Partners, you will champion analytics projects that generate deep customer insights, support data‑driven decision making, and enhance operational performance throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Role purpose:
The specialist -Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Governance will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of BI & Data Governance to various business units through the BI & Data Governance Business partners. The role will drive Analytics initiatives to deliver superior customer insights, enhance customer experience and enhance operational efficiency through insights led decision making.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
:
Embedded within business units to ensure requirements for reporting & analysis are delivered in a timely manner and reporting automation is prioritized and delivered
Work closely with business unit to understand business reporting requirements, determine relevant databases/data sources and generate insights for decision making. Design and develop end user dashboards and provide proactive assurance on BI numbers as the single source of truth
Responsible for defining and delivering insights to help decision making and drive customer experience initiatives. The work will involve guiding the identification of cross-functional data, preparing data, summarizing and tabulating the results in standard BI front end applications
Provide insights through analytics to increase efficiency in operations
Responsible for aligning requirements to overall defined priorities for analytics and manage delivery within strict timelines
Responsible for ensuring all Analytics requirements and programs align to data governance standards defined
Responsible to guiding on tools best fit for overall analytics strategy and ensuring tools are adequately rationalized to eliminate duplications
Define and drive targeted initiatives in line with overall business analytics strategy
Responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and simple dashboards and delivered to aid business decisions

Qualifications
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Maths, Science, etc.
More than 2 years of experience in generating business insights by running adhoc analyses (trend and distribution analyses) and have good understanding of business
intermediate in Oracle BI, SAS, SQL, Excel/VBA and Powerpoint
Analytics experience in one or more of these areas: campaign management, sales, product design, pricing, supply chain, network, customer care, etc.
Good communication and presentation (oral and written) skills
Experience in telecom, financial services or similar industries
Hands-on experience in statistical modeling would be a plus. Statistical experience can include developing regression models, factor analysis, clustering, decision trees, etc.
Exposure to setting up DataMart’s, designing and developing reporting/BI would be helpful
