Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to supervise and manage construction activities on site from foundation through finishing. The successful candidate will ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality and safety requirements, and the project schedule. The role will also involve coordinating site teams and subcontractors, controlling materials and costs, preparing progress reports, and facilitating coordination with consultants and clients.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong ability to accurately interpret and implement structural, architectural, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
Proficiency in using construction software, including AutoCAD and Excel.
Ability to lead and coordinate site foremen, subcontractors, and workers and to maintain the project schedule.
Knowledge of cost/material control, safety, and quality control.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all construction activities carried out on site, from foundation through finishing, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, and the project schedule.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work progress and planning reports.
Calculate material requirements (Take-off / Bar Bending Schedule), place orders, and minimize material wastage.
Monitor and facilitate site procedures and activities conducted with consultants and clients, and ensure the necessary approvals are obtained.
Required Qualifications and Work Experience
Education
Bachelor''s Degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering.
Work Experience
Minimum of 6 years of overall experience in building/apartment construction, including at least 3 years of experience working at a senior level as a Site Engineer.
