Job Summary
The Senior Auto Electrician will be responsible for electrical assembly, installation, testing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems used in 2-wheel and 3-wheel electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Install and connect vehicle wiring harnesses, batteries, controllers, motors, displays, switches, lights, indicators, horns, chargers, DC converters, and other electrical components.
Diagnose electrical and electronic faults, test battery voltage, current, continuity, insulation, and electrical connections, and troubleshoot motor controller and wiring problems.
Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical connections, terminals, connectors, wiring harnesses, electrical tools, and testing equipment.
Perform pre-delivery electrical inspections and functional testing while using multimeters, diagnostic tools, and test equipment correctly.
Ensure correct polarity, secure electrical connections, and identify and correct electrical defects during assembly.
Support junior electricians through technical guidance and training while following safety procedures when handling high-current and high-voltage battery systems.
Record electrical inspection, repair, and testing results.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Diploma/Level IV or equivalent in Automotive Electricity, Auto Electrics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in automotive electrical work, with experience in electric vehicles being highly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of DC electrical systems, batteries, motors, controllers, wiring, charging systems, and vehicle electronics.
Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
