Job Summary
Illy is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, cost control, and compliance. The role will provide accurate financial information to management, support financial decision-making, ensure smooth accounting operations, and
lead and supervise the accounting team
.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Handle bank, cash, AP and AR reconciliations.
Monitor daily restaurant sales and reconcile POS, cash, card, bank and delivery-platform collections.
Review supplier invoices, payments, customer balances and outstanding receivables.
Monitor food & beverage costs, inventory, wastage and stock variances.
Assist with budgeting, cost control and financial analysis.
Ensure proper tax, statutory and accounting compliance.
Support internal and external audits and maintain proper financial documentation.
Supervise and guide accounting staff, cashiers and junior accountants.
Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare financial and management reports as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
4+ years of relevant accounting experience in the
restaurant/hospitality industry
, with previous supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent Excel and accounting software skills.
Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, organization and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
