Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, account reconciliation, budget monitoring, tax compliance, and supporting management with accurate financial information for decision-making.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Work Experience
Five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience, with proven ability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and financial performance.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax declarations and other statutory financial reports.
Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
Coordinate internal and external audits and provide the necessary financial records and supporting documents.
Identify financial discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support business decisions.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
Knowledge of tax compliance and applicable financial regulations.
Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
