Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support Officer with a background in Chemistry or a related scientific field and at least 2 years of sales experience.
The successful candidate will support the sales team with customer management, quotations, order processing, product information, and coordination of sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and technical support to the sales team.
Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, sales presentations, and product documentation.
Respond to customer enquiries and provide accurate product information.
Process and follow up on customer orders from initiation to delivery.
Maintain accurate records of customers, sales activities, orders, and quotations.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, logistics, finance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Follow up on leads, quotations, and outstanding customer requests.
Support the sales team in identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships.
Monitor sales orders, deliveries, and customer feedback.
Assist with product demonstrations and customer presentations where required.
Prepare regular sales reports and updates for management.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of CRM and other sales-support systems.
Requirements
B.Sc./HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of sales or sales support experience is mandatory.
Experience in technical, industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or B2B sales is an advantage.
Good understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and order management.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience using CRM/ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the sales team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
