Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Manage general ledger entries, journal postings, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Cash Flow & Budget Management:
Monitor daily cash flows, track escrow accounts, and manage property transaction inflows and outflows.
Perform budget-versus-actual variance analysis across real estate development and sales projects.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process client receipts, track buyer payment schedules, and issue property invoices.
Review and process vendor payables, contractor invoicing, and supplier payments.
Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with state and federal tax obligations (VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE).
File periodic returns and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
Property Asset Tracking:
Track property portfolio assets, land acquisition funds, and project expenditure.
Work closely with sales, property management, and project teams to audit transaction records.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: ACA / ACCA professional qualification (or currently in progress) is strongly preferred.
Experience
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in real estate, property development, or construction sectors.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or real estate ERPs).
Strong working knowledge of tax laws and financial compliance standards.
