CarePoint Hospitals is seeking a qualified and experienced Radiographer to join our team and provide safe, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays and other imaging procedures within the scope of practice.
Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures clearly to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring appropriate positioning and exposure.
Apply radiation safety and protection measures for patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
Review images for quality and ensure that required views have been appropriately obtained.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records and imaging documentation.
Work closely with Radiologists, Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and care.
Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices during imaging procedures.
Monitor the condition and functionality of imaging equipment and promptly report faults or maintenance needs.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement activities, and relevant training programmes.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in
Radiography
.
Valid registration and practicing license with the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
Previous experience in a hospital, diagnostic centre, or healthcare facility is an advantage.
Good knowledge of radiographic procedures, patient positioning, radiation protection, and imaging protocols.
Ability to operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
