Job Summary

CCECC Ethiopian Branch is hiring for three positions: Quantity Survey Engineer, Document Controller, and Geotechnical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Survey Engineer

Perform quantity surveying and office engineering duties on construction projects.

Utilize construction software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and P6.

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Solve challenges that arise during construction projects.

Document Controller

Maintain and update project documentation, drawings, and records.

Ensure proper filing, archiving, and retrieval of documents.

Control issuance and distribution of documents to project teams.

Monitor document workflows and ensure timely approvals.

Support project managers and engineers with document-related needs.

Ensure compliance with company and client document control procedures.

Geotechnical Engineer

Serve as the main contact for geotechnical engineering coordination.

Conduct and review geological surveys, soil data, and reports.

Support subgrade and foundation design based on geological conditions.

Provide on-site guidance for geological investigations and problem-solving.

Develop treatment solutions for challenging ground conditions.

Ensure compliance with AASHTO and ERA standards.

Required Qualifications

Quantity Survey Engineer

At least Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or COTM.

Overall experience 7 years and 5 years experience as quantity survey and office engineer.

Preferable experience working on big construction projects on site, road, water work and building.

Technical skills: Proficiency in construction software (such as AutoCAD, MS Project, P6, Microsoft Office & project management tools like Microsoft Project).

Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to address challenges during construction projects.

Document Controller

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in document control, preferably in construction or engineering projects.

Strong knowledge of document management systems and MS Office tools.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Geotechnical Engineer

Bachelor’s degree or above in Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years in geotechnical engineering.

Experience in geological surveys and adverse ground treatment preferred.

Proficient in geological and survey software.

Strong knowledge of AASHTO and ERA standards.

Strong English communication skills; Chinese language is an advantage.

Valid Ethiopian professional engineering license.

Ethiopian nationality; familiar with local laws, regulations, cultural customs and transportation industry policies (ERA requirements); knowledgeable about regulations in project regions (Oromia Region, Somali Region).

Age: 25–48 years old; physically healthy; able to adapt to on-site working pace.

Professionalism: Strong sense of responsibility, dedication and teamwork; clear communication; meticulous and detail-oriented; able to complete tasks on time with high standard; comply with project quality, safety and environmental management requirements.
